Daniel asks…

spice up relationship or….?

im a bi-male, i have been in my first gay relationship (im the bottom only in this relationship). we have been a couple for 3 months. well the other day we were at the mall and he asked me what i thought of those tight yoga/ workout type pants that girls wear. i said “i think they are hot”. well today i got home from work. and he left me a present. in it was panties and those pants that i mentioned and tops to go with it. the letter said “maybe you can wear these and see where things go, maybe we can get you more to go with’. is this way just to spice things up for like bed time purposes, around the house type thing.? or is he trying to turn me into a girl? is it fun to wear? serious answers please thanks

Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Hmm…tough call.
He might like that sort of thing, just like some guys like random hyperactive people. I can’t say whether he’s trying to turn you into a girl or not though. If i was you I’d put them on and see where things go.

I hope I helped you some ^_^

Helen asks…

What is your workout regimen like?

I’m a teenage girl and I just started an exercise plan and need a few tips to get going. I weigh around 152lbs. I really want to lose weight (not a lot just around 10-15lbs) enough to wear i look and feel healthy. I was thinking of running 3x a week for 30 min. along with some basic strength training (no weights just some very basic stuff such as push ups, crunches, squats etc…) and along with that…stuff 2-3x weekly either bike riding, walking or yoga.

Does this seem like enough?
Weekly Workout Plan:
-3x running/jogging for 30min
-5x strength training (abs, arms, legs…etc.)
-3x (ethier biking, walking, or yoga) for 1hr

I’m a teenager so please don’t suggest stuff like going to the gym or buying a ton of extra equipment that I can’t afford.

Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Yeah just make sure your eating your protein after your strength workouts like with eggs or peanutbutter or nuts, you need protien after that, and on days you do cardio, make sure you eat fruit afterward and drink ALOT of water, i mean drink alot of water everyday but expically on days your sweating it all off. O yeah make sure you stretch and dont work the same muscle 2 days in a row for strength. Sleep alot, cut down the carbs and sugar.

Hope i helped

Mary asks…

Can I workout if I had a tailbone injury? I had the injury about 1.5 years ago.?

What kind of workout is best? Are there sports/exercises that I should avoid? Can I do weight training or yoga?

It still hurts if I am too tired, or if I walk a lot, or wear high heels too long.

Yoga Wear Guru answers:

My friend hurt the same spot and had an operation. Unfortunately, he can’t participate in much sports. He cannot do mainstream yoga, heavy weight training, stuff that involves the back alot or contact sports like rugby. He does play soccer (football) though.
Of course you would be different, and i hate for you to not to go to the gym when infact you can, so go and see your doctor.
Very best option.

Your Questions About Yoga Workout Wear

    Laura asks…

Does cleaning the house, doing laundry and dishes constitute a workout?

What if I did it while wearing my yoga pants, a sports bra and a hoodie?

    POLL:
    Yoga pants or Sweat pants

    Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Absolutely – I bet you’re beautiful. And not fat at all.

    Mary asks…

what are good workout pants that will hide my giggly booty?

i’m 9 months postpartum and need to do a lot of toning. so my husband and i joined a gym today. i need to get some pants to wear while i’m working out. i would just get yoga pants but i think my booty will giggle way too much in them. any suggestions?
shawnman, thanks that made me smile!

i should say that i’m petite 5′ and under 120lbs. there’s not a ton of giggle but just enough that it makes me self conscious.

    Yoga Wear Guru answers:

First off a little jiggling can be good. But if its too much then I would get some mens basketball shorts.

    Richard asks…

Why do i get freezing cold both during after working outs?

I usually wear a sweatshirt and yoga pants and a baseball cap, so it can’t be that I”m losing to much hear from my body, or that I’m losing too much heat from my head. I notice this from as soon as I start my workout until the very end. Yes, I do sweat, but not the point where I’m drenched! Does this happen to anyone else?

    Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Dear friend here are two things to know i. You are doing your work out in cool or cold air ii. When you do work out normally body become warm but here your body become still more warm because all the cloth that you wear are storing the body heat inside only. So while doing work out remove all the things so you won’t feel chill any more.

    Ken asks…

    Question about my workout plan?

I am going to 3 cardio workout classes and one yoga class a week and I am slightly overweight (wear size 12 and L) and I am wondering if I keep this up when I am going to start noticing significant results?
I am 5’9 and 190 and am hoping to go to 150 or so…
Also do you think with this workout plan and fairly healthy eating I will be able to reach my goal by June/July?
Yes I would rather take time and have my results last over time then see them quickly, I am in no huge rush- just I used to be an athlete and in fairly good shape and all was lost over a span of 3 years once I discontinued due to uni..

    Yoga Wear Guru answers:

You’ll probably notice minor results within in the first week or two, which is good. It’s best to lose weight slowly and be able to keep it off than to lose it all at once and be a risk to gain it back just as quickly.

    Robert asks…

Tight jeans & yoga pants help?

Ok, so whenever I wear tight pants like yoga pants from Victoria’s Secret or skinny jeans, there is a… I don’t really even know what it is! haha I’m not sure if it’s fat from my thighs or from my butt, but it kind of hangs there right under my crotch :/ it looks kind of like this but more noticeable: http://www.travelingfashionista.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/annalynnemccordLAX2.jpg

So I don’t know what it is or where it’s coming from? but I want to get rid of it because it’s making me self conscious when I wear tight pants. & what workouts can I do to lose it? Help please! and thanks ♥ & yes, I know what a camel toe is. It is NOT a camel toe lmao :)

    Yoga Wear Guru answers:

    I have that
so do tons of people and it just means that you are not anorexic, you are a normal weight
that is completely normal and dont worry i dont think anyone notices it

Girls: What do you wear when you workout?

      Ok so GIRLS only!!

Yep No guys. Yes only the girly type :)

Ok first what do you do to workout – Biking, running, weights, dance, yoga

Second what do you wear during those activities? Shorts, pants, tight, baggy, thong, bra, sports bra whatever….
This could also apply to PE in school too!

II have purchased similiar wear yoga pants like the ones from J.BouKTique.the tops aren’t supportive enough so I would wear the over a sports bra. Why are the uniforms in Aerobics Gymnastic Different?

I’ve been wondering why in the olympic event “Aerobic Gymnastics” they use the same uniform for the singles event and the doubles. Which is the aerobic workout bikini or leotard. But for group or team sessions, they wear the Yoga workout pants. Why is this? it’s the same event but with more people why such a radical difference in uniforms?

      Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Because they don’t understand how good a leotard looks! Especially on hot women. ALL WOMEN SHOULD BE FORCED TO WEAR LEOTARDS for all forms of fitness.

Women should also encourage men to wear more stuff like this. Tights, leotards, and unitards are extremely practical and in addition, they look and feel great!

      Mark asks…

Would you consider lounge-wear and active-wear the same thing?

I am starting massage therapist school soon and we are not allowed to wear jeans of any type. We need to wear something with an elastic waistband because we are going to be learning Yoga and Tai Chi. BUT it says we can’t wear lounge-wear (their example was flannel PJ pants). Aren’t workout pants the same thing or is that OK? I tried calling the school to clarify but they aren’t there now.

      Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Yeah pj pants and flannel pants of any style or colour are definetly lounge wear.
Lounge wear is something youd wear around the house, you wouldnt wear out side.
Active wear is something youd wear if you went out of a jog, to the gym, or for an excercise class
workout pants like those adidas ones would be good…you can go for yoga pants too. As long as it isnt something youd wear to bed.
If you go to some place like scheels in the states or sportchek in canada, theyll have everything you need!

      David asks…

How do I get the best cardio workout?

When I was pregnant, I developed blood clots in my leg. Well, the damage in my veins is preventing me from getting a good cardio workout. When I run, swim or ride my leg swells and is very painful. Any type of movement of my leg seems to swell it up. Most of the time, I just suck up the pain, but I am sick of being in pain. I am wearing compression stocks and it does not seem to be helping. I miss getting a good cardio workout. I have even tried the rowing machine. I do yoga and pilates, but I don’t feel like those are a good enough workouts. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will try anything to get a good cardio workout.

      Yoga Wear Guru answers:

It seems to me that you’re doing all you can to stay healthy. Walking is good. Add ankle weights and take Vitamin E for blood thinning to prevent clots.

Does anyone have any or know where I can find any? I want to buy my boyfriend this hat for Christmas, but it’s pretty expensive.

        Yoga Wear Guru answers:

In the event that I receive coupon codes on the net, I typically select a couple of internet sites. Coupons.com as well as couponsmom appear to have a huge number of coupon codes that really work. I have saved a small fortune through the use of these internet websites.

          Your Questions About Clothing Stores

          Steven asks…

What are some great online clothing stores?

I really love stores like Forever21 & vintage clothing.
But I have a small money limit to spend,so it needs to be very cheap.
          Any suggestions?
It can be big or independent fashion stores.

          Yoga Wear Guru answers:

There are a few sites online that deal with sample sale items from big designers. The majority of them are by invite only. The downside, in addition to the invite only, is they often only have a handful of a specific product because, after all, these are samples being sold. So you have to check them relatively regularly. For instance, last week, I saw a Hermes bag on one (granted it was ugly – baby blue, ick), but they only had the one. The bigger ticket items (dolce&gabanna, Versace, vera wang, burberry, etc.) have fewer while more accessible brands (bebe, jessica simpson, ed hardy, etc.) are easier to come by.

Any suggestions for inexpensive clothing stores that are not mainstream?

I am on a small budget and looking for some new stores to buy clothing from. Any suggestions? advice for learning to make my own clothing patterns?

i’ve been using simplicity patterns but they usually end up a little off. i want to learn how to customize patterns to my specific body measurements. any advice for how to start? books or software recommendations?

            Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Making garment patterns is called pattern cutting.
Google in “dress pattern cutting” and sites pop up showing books on the subject.

            Carol asks…

where can i find sewing patterns for utility clothing?

Comfortable, form-fitting clothing made with quality materials, and built to withstand extreme conditions (running through the woods, hiking, or being attacked by the undead) preferrably with storage space/holsters. I want to be indispensable in a post-apocalyptic world.

            Yoga Wear Guru answers:

Here are some a bit more out of the main stream patterns, good for utility/camping/sports clothes that are not always sold at just every local fabric store at the pattern counters all of the time, you could look at:

            http://www.kwiksew.com/

            http://www.therainshed.com/patternpages/RainShed%20Patterns.htm

            https://www.gmidesign.com/stretch/home.html

What you actually do while wearing them, and the fabrics you choose to make them out of, is of course up to you. Probably best to check out the Army/Navy surplus stores and all the high end camping/sporting goods stores more locally, to get a good idea of suitable fabrics you might want to use.

For more historic (and stylish) styling tips, maybe check out Emma Peel in some of the old brittish Avengers TV shows, various characters in old Star Trek episodes ect. , and even maybe more current sports and military clothing. If you make your own clothes, then any pockets and holsters and such, can be custom made to fit any of the camping sports equipment that you wish. Have fun.

Your Questions About Cute Athletic Outfits

              James asks…

How can my friend make her outfits look cute while following the strict dress code of her school?

This is the dress code for the high school she will be attending:

              Girls:
              • Casual or dress pants, Capri or standard length of any plain* fabric.
Exception: denim jeans of any style of color are not allowed.
              • Pants must be worn at the waistline.
              • Female students also may wear skirts, no shorter than knee length, of any
plain* fabric. Exception: denim jean pants or skirts of any style or color are
              not allowed.
              • Standard polo shirts of any plain* fabric with shirts with short or long
sleeves and a placket (neck opening) no longer than 6 ¾ inches.
              • All shirts must be tucked in.
              • Sweaters or approved sweatshirts may only be worn with a tucked-in polo
              shirt underneath.
              • Casual shoes, dress shoes, athletic shoes, or sandals with heel straps.

How can she make her outfits look cute? She really doesn’t want to go to this school and I just wanna cheer her up by letting her know she could still look good. Oh, makeup and jewelry without crosses isnt allowed.
*Plain is defined as material that has no writing, symbols, slogans, messages, or
pictures of any kind. A small trademark, pocket-type symbol is allowed.

Cute outfit to get his attention?

I have a class tomorrow with this guy I am crazy for. I want to wear something cute to get his attention (i was thinking maybe a pencil skirt?).
A few things you need to know:
              1. I am a curvy girl (size 16)
              2. I am a sports major, so all my classes are in the athletic building. I sit in a room full of jocks, both male and female, where jeans and t shirts is the standard wardrobe. I want to look cute, but I don’t want to look too dressed up either.

              Thank you!

A pencil skirt will look too dressed up, especially if everyone else is wearing jeans etc.

Try a cute blouse with skinny jeans, or a vest top, cropped cardigan and a knee length floaty skirt :)
